A next life for your bespoke piece

If something special was made for an event, FOND can help it find a new owner, as it is or reimagined by its original creative. It's not hire and it's not copies: one original piece goes to one new owner.

Whether you're a couple, an event designer or a maker, tell us about the piece you have.

Pieces we look for

Pieces can include arbours and backdrops, installations, draping and textiles, signage, one-off furniture, ceremony pieces, and gowns and accessories. If you have something different in mind please submit below and we will reach out.

How it works

A piece made for one event often ends up in storage: too specific to reuse, too good to throw away. FOND finds it a new owner, without adding to your workload.

  1. Before your event. Tell us about your pieces. With your permission, we'll send your photographer a short list of what to capture on the day, so each piece is seen at its best.
  2. After your event. We document each piece: its condition, measurements, maker and story. The designer behind it is always credited.
  3. Agree the details. Together we agree the price, how the piece is credited, and whether it's open to being reimagined. Nothing is listed without your approval.
  4. Reimagining workshop. Where you're open to it, we bring creatives together, including the original designer wherever possible, to explore what each piece could become.
  5. Capsule release. New pieces launch in our monthly Capsule, so there may be up to a 3-week wait before yours is listed.
  6. Listed for up to 6 months. Your piece stays with you the whole time, so there's nothing to store or hand over. If it doesn't sell, we'll work with you to adjust the price, reimagine it or take it off the list.
  7. Sold and delivered. We look after the buyer, payment and delivery, which the buyer pays for. Once your piece is delivered, you receive 70% of the sale price.

Nothing is listed, changed or released without your approval.

Designers and makers

Designers and makers authorship stays with the piece. They are credited for their work and have the first opportunity to reimagine it as part of the FOND process.

Piece selection process

Our curation approach to  is heavily guided by our philosophy which can be viewed here. If a submission is unable to be accepted, we will promptly reach out before your event.

What you receive
